Alana & Dalton | Loxley Alabama Wedding

We’ve all been impacted by COVID-19. Jobs, businesses, schools, and so much more have changed drastically. And so many brides and grooms have lost the chance to have the wedding days they’d been planning on. Alana and Dalton are one of those couples. Because of the virus, Alana and Dalton moved their Loxley Alabama wedding day up and drastically scaled the day down. I’m so glad I could be there to photograph their special day – even if I couldn’t hug them!!

Loxley Alabama Wedding

With their parents and siblings, Alana and Dalton tied the knot at Loxley First Baptist Church. They were even married by Alana’s dad. Thankfully, one of their family members recorded the ceremony on Zoom so the rest of the guests and family could watch! Alana wore her mother’s veil – the same one her sister wore, so special. She also wore her late grandmother’s broach in her hair and carried flowers her mother made by hand. It was clear from the start that this day was truly about family!

One of the sweetest moments of the whole day was when Dalton led Alana in their first prayer as a married couple during the ceremony. It was incredibly moving, and given the intimate nature of their day, I’m extra honored I witnessed it. And, as a lovely surprise to the newlyweds, there was a parade of cars when they walked out of the church after their ceremony! What a sweet way to celebrate the new Mr. & Mrs.!

Thanks to a close family friend, Alana and Dalton were able to have a small reception with their immediate family following the ceremony. Alana’s mom even made the beautiful cake they cut! With an Auburn cake topper, shaker, and navy and coral details, it was obvious they wanted to celebrate how their journey at AU brought them here! Even though they couldn’t have the big wedding and celebration they hoped, their family and friends went above and beyond to make their day special. Congratulations Alana and Dalton!!
